Baby Shoes

Another baby shower, another stab at something I've never tried before...baby shoes!

And of course a dress to match...

And a matching skirt for big sister.

What the heck, why not make a card to match, too.

I have always wanted to integrate fabric and sewing into cards and this was a fun opportunity to give it a try.  I grabbed a scrap of fabric off the floor and sewed it on!

A Little Crafty

I haven't sewn in over a month!  Summer has taken over at our house and I haven't found time for any fun crafty things.  So last night I determined to do something very simple to get myself going again.  I cut out some butterflies from scrapbook pages and tied a little twine around the middle.  Then I pinned them to a wire dress form I had and now they are on display in my bedroom.

I got this idea from a french website http://cieldorage.canalblog.com/
If you are into shabby chic, rustic, country decorating, I suggest you check it out.  Such eye candy!

Valentine

I had a little craft ready for my boys to but together this morning.  I incorporated in a little bible lesson (I homeschool so everything turns into school).  We talked about how all the love here on earth is just a shadow of God's love for his bride, the church.  We love him because he first loved us.  And read a story about St. Valentine.

This is a little wall art I am working on for Sophia's room.  I plan to do a little more stitching, maybe a heart and the word "TEA", and then stretch it onto a small frame.

We got Sophia a tea set for Christmas and we play with it a lot with just water.  My husband actually had the idea to hang these shelves and put little hooks underneath to hang the tea cups.

Don't you love piles of beautiful quilts?
